Rotax/Honda – Classes

ABkC MiniMax National Championship
Championship Permit No. CH2011/K013 (Grade B)
11 – 15 years

 For 11 to 15 year olds, the class is run to the same regulations found in the MSA Kart Race Yearbook (the Gold Book), and chassis registrations are NOT required. A restricted version of the Rotax Junior 125cc engine is used. Tyres are Mojo D1 with yellow bar code and Mojo W2 wets.  The tyres are CIK homologated.  Number plates are yellow with black numbers.

ABkC Rotax Junior Max National Championship
Championship Permit No. CH2011/K016 (Grade B)
13 – 17 years 

For 13th year to 17 year olds, the class is run to the regulations in the MSA Kart Race Yearbook (the Gold Book), and chassis registrations are NOT required. A de-tuned version of the senior 125cc engine is used. Tyres are as MiniMax.  Number plates are red with white numbers.

ABkC Rotax Senior Max National Championship
Championship Permit No. CH2011/K017 (Grade B)
16 years and over 

For drivers from age 16th year upwards, this senior class runs to the regulations in the MSA Kart Race Yearbook (the Gold Book). The engine is a powerful 125cc two-stroke, with an on-board electric self-starter. Tyres are Mojo D2 with yellow bar code and Mojo W2 wets.  The tyres are CIK homologated. .  Number plates are blue with white numbers.

ABkC Rotax Senior Max 177 National Championship
Championship Permit No. CH2011/K020 (Grade B)
16 years and over 

Offered for the first time in 2006, this senior class runs to the same regulations as Senior Max except that the weight limit is higher and the driver must weigh a minimum of 85kg.  Number plates are green with white numbers.

ABkC Dunlop Honda Cadet National Championship
Championship Permit No. CH2011/K013 (Grade B)
8 – 13 years 

Cadets are for 8 to 13 year olds, and the specially approved mini-chassis (not restricted to British makes) use a 160cc un-sealed Honda 4-stroke GX160 engine. Tyres are from Dunlop and number plates are yellow with red numbers.
